Emerge - collaboration with Loes van Duijvendijk about the city Rotterdam 

‘Emerge' is a project initiated by photographers Loes van Duijvendijk and Sylvana Lansu. In need for new ways of looking at the city, they rediscover the rhythm of Rotterdam. Over the span of one year, they explored it’s geometric jungle. Colours and shapes turn into a visual language, nature and concrete become one. Silhouettes define the character of the city and alters the architecture from its original context. In the visual play between the two photographers, they question the common imagery of the metropolis. With ‘Emerge’ they present a new way of looking at the spatial identity of Rotterdam.
